Biografía
Sebastián Silva es un artista multifacético cuya obra abarca la pintura, la ilustración y la música popular. Sus cuadros se han exhibido en Santiago y New York, y una de sus tres bandas, Los Mono, fue distribuida en los Estados Unidos e Inglaterra bajo el sello Sonic360. Su primer largometraje, La Vida Me Mata, ganó numerosos premios en Chile y le ganó la atención de críticos y festivales de cine. La Nana es su segundo largometraje.
Biography
Sebastián Silva is a multifaceted artist whose work includes painting, illustration, and popular music. His paintings have been exhibited in Santiago and New York, and one of his three bands, Los Mono, was picked up for distribution in the United States and the United Kingdom by Sonic360. His first film, La Vida me mata, won numerous awards in Chile and earned him the attention of critics and film.
Sinopsis
Raquel, una mujer agria e introvertida, lleva 23 años trabajando de nana para los Valdés, una numerosa familia de clase alta. Un día, Pilar, su patrona, contrata a otra nana para ayudarla. Raquel, sintiendo peligrar su lugar en la familia, espanta a la recién llegada con crueles e infantiles maltratos psicológicos. Esto se repite una y otra vez hasta que llega Lucy, una risueña mujer de provincia, que logra penetrar la coraza de Raquel y cambiar su forma de ver la vida.
Synopsis
Raquel, a bitter and introverted woman, has been the Valdés family’s maid for 23 years. One day Pilar, her mistress, hires another maid to help Raquel with her chores. Raquel, feeling her place in the family threatened, drives the new arrival away with cruel psychological abuse. This happens time and again, until Pilar hires Lucy, a merry girl from the countryside who has never worked as a maid before. It is Lucy who finally breaks the barrier Raquel has erected around herself.
